We welcome caregivers to apply directly to
us at HELPING HANDS
INTERNATIONAL PERSONNEL
NANNIES & CAREGIVERS
AGENCY. We seek
experienced caregivers having a background in teaching, nursing,
midwifery and other specialties. Please read the criteria for
the Live-in Caregiver Program, as the Canadian Government has strict
regulations on accepting caregivers who wish to enter the country. You can
find the information on the website www.cic.gc.ca
.
Please keep
in mind that we will not activate your application until all the documents
and the initial registration fee have been received by us. We
will only accept
applications from nannies who pass the criteria set by the Canadian
government's live-in caregiver program.
Please
send the following documents at the same time you submit your application.
Always remember that there is another applicant for the same position for
which you are applying so ...Make a good first
impression! 1. One 5x7 Color Photo of
yourself ( smiling photo makes a big difference)
2. One 5x7 Color Photo of yourself and
the child / children or elderly person you're currently caring for
(remember : a picture paints a thousand words)
3. Reference
letter from your previous / present employer
4. A letter of Introduction about yourself (
family, education, work experience, etc. )
5. A letter for " Dear Prospective Employer " stating
the reason why you want to work in Canada and what you can offer your
future employer in regards to the job compared to other
nannies 6. A copy of passport &
working contract / permit of country
where you are working at present
7. A copy of Highschool transcript / diploma
(authenticated ) 8. A copy of
College / University transcript/ diploma (authenticated)
9. Copies of any certificates related to your
position
10. NBI Clearance / Birth Certificate / Marriage
Contract
Once you have been
selected by a Canadian employer, the processing will take approximately 3
- 6 months. The processing time takes longer at the Canadian Embassy where
you are currently residing or working.
Make sure you have all the
necessary documents when you present your application.
Here
are more expenses you need to shoulder :
1.
Canadian Embassy - visa fee for work permit (CAN
$150). 2. Medical fee - get a list at the embassy for the
accredited medical clinic … you will know by then how much they
charge. 3. Police Clearance - bring the letter That
Canadian Embassy gives you and apply ( for working in Canada
). 4. Air ticket - Once you get your visa / work
permit, you will book a ticket and pay for your own flight.
